| In
1968, Dan Vaden, already a veteran car dealer with 15 years experience,
arrived in Savannah to open Dan Vaden Chevrolet, Inc. in what was then
a
rural area on Abercorn Extension. Dan Vaden Chevrolet began
operation with only a small, temporary four-office building.
Today it is the largest Chevrolet dealership in southeast coastal
Georgia.
In addition to new and used vehicle sales
and service, Dan Vaden operates a large parts distribution network
throughout southeast Georgia as well as a large, modern repair and
painting facility.
In 1980 Mr. Vaden became one of
the first Isuzu dealers in the nation and in 1983 he purchased a Datsun
dealership in Savannah that later became Daniel Nissan. In
1988 Vaden Suzuki was opened next to Vaden Isuzu and in 1991 Vaden
Hyundai was opened, also in Savannah.
The
organization began its growth outside of Savannah in 1989,adding four
new dealerships - including a Volkswagen franchise -as well as a modern
Sales, Service and Parts
facitility.

In 1992 Mr. Vaden was chosen as one of the top eight new
car dealers in the United States, winning the prestigious Time Magazine
Quality Dealer Award.
Mr. Vaden's company continued
to grow throughout the '90s and in1999 he aquired the Oldsmobile
franchise in Savannah. The growth
continued in 2002 when Jane Vaden Thacher, Dan Vaden'sdaughter, became
one of the first female HUMMER dealers in
the nation.

Pontiac GMC, in Hampton, South Carolina is the newest addition to the
Vaden Automotive Group.
Today the family operated
Vaden Automotive Group includes several Chevrolet, Cadillac, Buick,
Pontiac, GMC, HUMMER, Nissan, Suzuki, Hyundai and Volkswagen
