Kelley Blue Book Reasons to Buy Cadillac

If you've ever spoken with a new Cadillac owner, you've probably noticed they're more enthusiastic about their vehicle than most. If you own a new Cadillac, you know firsthand the affinity we're talking about. The point being: passion for the Cadillac brand is burning strong. In fact, Kelley Blue Book's "Brand Image Awards" show consumer perception of Cadillac is extremely high. Of the 10 different "Brand Image Awards" presented this past year, Cadillac earned three.

For models such as the 2011 Cadillac Escalade, Cadillac SRX crossover and Cadillac CTS, the American luxury automaker is honored…

Elvis Presley Cadillac Up For Auction

Cars like the Cadillac CTS may one day become "future classics" from the American automaker. However, you can't replace iconic vehicles from the past. A 1955 Cadillac Fleetwood limo, once owned by The King, will certainly go down in history.

Elvis Presley's Cadillac limo is headed to auction at Bonham's Classic California on November 12, 2011. This event will feature several antique and well-known vehicles, while donating proceeds to various charities. The 1955 Cadillac Fleetwood, co-signed for by Elvis's father, was used by the singer and his band to travel the Southern United States in 1956…

Cadillac Promotes Latest Models

According to Bill Visnic, senior editor at Edmunds AutoObserver, "Cadillac needs to be in the [small car] segment, and it needs to be a player in the high-output, high-fuel-efficiency four-cylinder engines the ATS will use." 1

The automaker is addressing cries for a smaller, more fuel efficient model, while still providing the luxury  their fans have always counted on with these American-made vehicles.

Cadillac has introduced two new highly anticipated cars for the 2012 season: a smaller Cadillac ATS sedan and a larger XTS. The ATS will be sportier than its CTS companion, and is also  planned as a replacement…

Cadillac New Concept Nostalgic

Cadillac may be promoting sporty new vehicles like their Cadillac CTS-V Coupe - but the American auto maker is feeling a bit nostalgic when it comes to concepts. Their Ciel convertible, unveiled recently at Pebble Beach in California, harkens back to the finned-Caddy's of the 1950's and 60's.

Cadillac Ciel was displayed on a rooftop in the Chelsea neighborhood of New York City, as part of its world tour that will (supposedly) end later this month at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

The rear fins of Ciel seems to pay homage to the classic 1967 Cadillac line. "Yes, the…

Cadillac Gets Chevy Volt Technology

Chevrolet and the Crowned Shield, sister companies 'parented' by GM, know how to share. As such, it's not surprising to learn Chevy will be loaning Caddy the leading-edge technology fitted in the Volt. The reason the Crowned Shield has asked Chevy to borrow the Volt technology is another story. It has car enthusiasts, like us, on the edges of our seats.

Remember the Converj coupe concept that debuted at the 2009 Detroit Auto Show? Well, Cadillac has confirmed plans to bring it into production. Coined the ELR, the Converj production car will be engineered with a T-shaped lithium-ion battery…

Florida College for Cadillac Escalade

If you're wondering what that extra tuition is going for at The State College of Florida, you may want to start at the $71,000 Cadillac Escalade they are picking up for officials to use on college business trips. Are students annoyed? Sure, since tuition just "escalated" 8%. Who says college isn't worth it?

For the record, the specific vehicle is a 2011 Cadillac Escalade Hybrid four-wheel-drive SUV with V8 engine, known as "the world's only full-size luxury hybrid SUV." It comes with a price tag of $71,685 before taxes.

Trustee Dr. Craig Trigueiro, a Bradenton…

Cadillac CTS-V Wagon Sexy and Fast

The 2011 Cadillac CTS-V, which debuted at the 2011 Chicago Auto Show earlier this year, is anything you'd expect a wagon to be. It's stealth, alluring, and adrenaline pumping - perfect for tackling practical tasks at hand in style and with the utmost efficiency.

Alluding to the CTS-V's distinctive presence, Cadillac refers to the wagon as, "Pure V wrapped in cargo-ready body style."1 While we love the poeticism we're going to take a moment to translate that into something a little more easy to digest.

Fitted with a supercharged V8 engine, the new Cadillac CTS-V wagon…

2011 CTS-V Springs Into Action

Apparently, the all new Cadillac CTS-V (Caddy's supercharged coupe variant of the Cadillac CTS) will run 100 miles per hour on a rainy track, without batting an eye. This shows GM's dedication to high performance, combined with luxury comfort behind the wheel.

Available for a test drive at Vaden Cadillac Brunswick, 121 Altama Connector in Brunswick, GA, The Cadillac CTS-V will pump out over 550 horsepower at 551 lb-ft of torque from its V8 engine. That's a 6.2 liter V8, of course. But this is still a Cadillac, and with that drivers receive state of the…

Cadillac Comeback Continues

Cadillac has won over the hearts and steering hands of buyers once again, with models like the Cadillac CTS and Cadillac CTS-V coupe, the GM brand has a new, younger core group of followers.

But really, did Cadillac ever go away? Now ATS, due out in 2013 and sized below CTS, is heading your way - but it is not the only new model. A new soft-top convertible, set between ATS and the CTS will be a "distinct change in direction for Cadillac's convertible program."

Other Cadillac convertibles have been high-end, limited-volume cars, sharing a platform with the Chevrolet Corvette…

Cadillac Plug-in Hybrid

According to reports coming out of Detroit, the all new Cadillac SRX (a just released and already top selling crossover from the American auto maker) is in the process of developing a SRX-based plug-in hybrid to be launched soon.

Details are limited, but Automotive News tells us the crossover will use Chevrolet Volt technology, and will draw on experience learned from previous extended-range vehicles from the company's other brands past and present - ie: the…
