Keep Up With the Chevrolet Volt? The Competition Can't.

Well, we'd be lying if we said that the Chevy Volt hasn't surprised us in the least. After a slow start, the Volt was named the North American Car of the Year in 2011, as well as the 2012 European Car of the Year, among many other awards and accolades. Meanwhile, it continues to outsell it's electric competition.

In fact, Chevrolet sold four times as many Volt models in August than the...

Where in the U.S. is the Chevrolet Volt the Most Popular?

At most dealerships, including right here at Dan Vaden of Brunswick, we sell an average of about one Chevrolet Volt every month. That may not seem like a whole lot, but that's just about what Chevrolet has budgeted for - especially considering that the Volt is powered by technology consumers are unfamiliar with. The beauty of the Volt really lies in the fact that the technology is so forward-thinking, many people stop by to check...

The reason the Crowned Shield has asked Chevy to borrow the Volt technology is another story. It has car enthusiasts, like us, on the edges of our seats.

Remember the Converj coupe concept that debuted at the 2009 Detroit Auto Show? Well, Cadillac has confirmed plans to bring it into production. Coined the ELR, the Converj production car will be engineered with a T-shaped lithium-ion battery…
