Chevrolet's centennial birthday is officially next month. But, due to the magnitude of turning 100-years old, the American automaker thought it better to celebrate all year long rather than on a single day. Effectively, they've been hosting festivities, tributes, and interactive activities since the calendar changed over from 2010.

One such interactive activity we were particularly a fan of was the invite for drivers to chose their favorite Chevrolet of all time. If you're a Chevy enthusiast like us, you know this is no easy task, but revel in having your opinion count.

So, which model was named, by the people, as the best Chevy of all time? Well, it wasn't the 1970 Chevy Chevelle SS. That came in second, though. No, the best Chevy of all time is officially the 1969 Camaro. Interestingly, both the first and second place Chevy models are iconic muscle cars. However, given the '69 Camaro's star-like qualities that have put in at least two Hollywood productions (i.e., Almost Famous and Better off Dead), we're not surprised in the least that it came out ahead.

To honor the driver-voted best Chevy of all time, the 1969 Chevrolet Camaro, we would like to share a snippet from Chevrolet, published on the winner's web page. "By 1969, the Camaro was extremely popular," Chevy says. "Though this was the final year of the Camaro's original iconic design, it went out with flying colors. The '69 Camaro paced the Indianapolis 500 for the second time. It was the first and only year the legendary aluminum ZL1 engine was offered and the Z28 SS/RS performance package qualified the '69 Camaro to compete in the Trans-Am racing series. It's still considered one of the hottest-looking rides of the classic muscle car era."¹
