Cars like the Cadillac CTS may one day become "future classics" from the American automaker. However, you can't replace iconic vehicles from the past. A 1955 Cadillac Fleetwood limo, once owned by The King, will certainly go down in history.
Elvis Presley's Cadillac limo is headed to auction at Bonham's Classic California on November 12, 2011. This event will feature several antique and well-known vehicles, while donating proceeds to various charities. The 1955 Cadillac Fleetwood, co-signed for by Elvis's father, was used by the singer and his band to travel the Southern United States in 1956.
Bonham's Classic estimates the car will go for somewhere between $100,000 and $150,000.
"The Series 75 Fleetwood eight-passenger sedan was acquired by the King in January 1956 being repainted black (its original color was light blue)," according to the auction press release.1
